Athens wins tri-match
Host Athens defeated Nelsonville-York and River Valley to capture top team honors in a non-league triangular wrestling meet at McAfee Gymnasium Wednesday. The Bulldogs defeated Nelsonville-York 49-29 and swept a 79-0 victory over River Valley. Nelsonville-York gained a 42-33 decision over the Raiders in the other portion of the match.
Double winners were Josh Dingess, Caleb Covington, Robbie Gerren, Ethan Stalder, Steven McLaughlin, Reed Anderson, Joey Young, Jordan Sweeney and Jonathan Keener of Athens and Thomas McLaughlin, Carl Moody, Dakota Hook, Zach Hook and Robert Norway of Nelsonville-York.
